When this is the right size
Garden clearances are what this size does best. Hedge cuttings, turf, old fence panels and a decade of pots will fill it nicely, and green waste is light enough that you can genuinely use the whole volume. It also handles a small bathroom rip-out or a single-room declutter comfortably.
Because the walls are still low, you can throw things in over the side rather than needing a drop door, which makes filling it a lot less work than the taller skips.
When to pick something else
It is the wrong choice for building rubble in quantity. You will reach the weight limit before you fill it, and a part-filled skip is money wasted. For soil, hardcore and broken masonry a 6 yard filled properly is the more sensible buy.
