Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions for hiring a skip or other services from Doncaster Skip Hire Ltd.

These terms apply to skip hire and related services provided by Doncaster Skip Hire Ltd. By booking with us, you agree to these terms. Last updated July 2026.

Quotes and Booking

Our pricing is quote-only. We provide a quote based on the skip size, the type of waste and the placement, and confirm the details when you book. A booking is confirmed once we have accepted it.

Delivery and Placement

We will deliver your skip to the agreed location on the agreed date. You are responsible for making sure there is safe, clear access and a suitable place to put the skip. Where a skip is placed at your direction on a private surface such as a driveway, we cannot accept responsibility for damage to that surface.

Permits

If your skip is placed on a public road, pavement or verge, a permit is required from Doncaster Council. The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the permit. See our permits page.

Loading the Skip

You must fill the skip level with the top and not overload it. An overfilled skip is unsafe to transport and cannot be collected until it is level. You are responsible for the safe and lawful loading of the skip while it is in your care.

Prohibited Items

Certain items cannot be placed in a skip, including electrical appliances, batteries, gas cylinders, tyres, liquids, hazardous chemicals, asbestos and other restricted waste. See our what can go in a skip guide. If prohibited items are found, we may be unable to collect the skip, and additional charges may apply.

Hire Period and Collection

We will agree a hire period and collection arrangement with you when you book. If you need the skip for longer, or need it collected sooner, please contact us.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe access for delivery and collection
  • Arrange any permit needed for a road placement
  • Load the skip safely and keep it level
  • Keep prohibited items out of the skip
  • Keep the skip clear of obstructions

Liability

We will carry out our services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it cannot be limited by law. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or that arise from a failure to follow these terms.

Payment

Payment terms are confirmed at the time of booking.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
